This photo shows a close -up from an Xray of an MRI scan illuminated by an A3 lightbox from lightboxUK (the flare is a result of camera flash). The even light dissipation with our edge lit light boxes means that reading xrays is really easy. The LED's and cold cathode tubes we use mean that our light boxes are extra long life, cost very little to run (less than an average lightbulb) and they don't get hot.

a2 light box
The a2 light box is unsurprisingly a light box that is big enough to illuminate an a2 sheet of paper. Such a large light box with its very bright and even distribution of light has many potential applications. Light boxes are often used when something needs to be traced accurately, the item could be a drawing or photograph which is placed on the surface of the %%KEYWORD%%. When another piece of paper is placed on the box the illuminated image should be quite strongly displayed, making tracing an easy task. As the a2 light box can be desk or wall mounted another potential application is displaying adverts in town centres, the light behind the image helping to catch potential customers attention. Hospitals use light boxes to illuminate X-rays for medical diagnosis and art colleges use them to display students` art projects. The light sources in light boxes are very efficient, using less power than a 20 watt household light bulb. They also don`t produce any heat which is important for people that have to use light boxes for many hours.
a3 light box
Light boxes are a very handy item to own, they have several different applications in both commercial and home environments. You probably see light boxes every time that you visit a town or city centre. They are often used to illuminate commercial adverts on billboards in both streets and buildings. Light boxes are also used to illuminate products inside shops, they help to display the products at their best and catching the eye of potential customers. Light boxes are available in a variety of sizes, usually related to the dimensions of pieces of paper. The a3 light box can be used to trace diagrams and pictures, the powerful light shines through the paper displaying the image making it easy to trace. Viewing large photographs is also easier when they are placed on an a3 light box, the fine detail very brightly illuminated. Light boxes can be table or wall mounted and either way the lighting system is designed not to get hot or use much energy at all. The modern a3 light box is also designed to last with the average bulb lasting 15-20 years of use.
a4 light box
The competitively priced a4 light box is a very versatile piece of equipment. Small, light and very thin it is a very portable piece of equipment to use. Light boxes are essential items for people who wish to trace artwork, maps or photographs. By placing a strong light source behind the material it makes it easy see all of the detail. The light source in an a4 light box is very bright yet surprisingly power efficient, consuming less power than a 20 watt lightbulb. Due to the type of fluorescent light source used the unit doesn`t get hot at all, which is very handy when you are leaning over it for any length of time. Due to being mounted on 4 rubber feet the a4 light box is a very stable unit and slippages are kept to a minimum. Light boxes are increasingly used by SAD sufferers to alleviate the symptoms they suffer during the months when there is less sunlight around.
